Who We Are

divider
Christ Our King is a community of confessing Anglicans, committed to living into our King’s commission. We fulfill this by making disciples who will join us in fully loving Him and one another. We are a member of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and we are in communion with over 100,000 Christians in North America and over 80 million Christians worldwide.

What We Believe

divider
We believe in God’s inerrant Word.
We believe that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone,
through His death on the cross and in His bodily resurrection.
We believe in the Holy Spirit and that He empowers us
to carry out the Gospel to a hurting world.

Our History

divider
The life of this parish began in October 2008 when 225 people
joined with Pastor Chuck Thebeau in founding a new church plant.
Father Chuck and his family had actually ministered here in New Braunfels
for 7 years prior to establishing Christ Our King.
In 2012, our new ministry center was completed, and we have been
pursuing God’s call to be a “City on a Hill” ever since.

What is Anglicanism?

divider
Anglicanism is oft times referred to as: the ancient/future faith.
The Anglican Church was formed out of the English Reformation, when the Church in England became the Church of England. The denomination was formed by men and women who were trying to find a middle ground between Roman Catholicism and European Protestantism. Today, the Anglican Church still represents a balance between the governance and worship style of Roman Catholicism and the reformed theology and preaching of Protestantism.
