Our Children's Ministry at Christ Our King is made up of several components which all serve to build up the children that God calls to us in His Word and fellowship. We call our Children's fellowship "ORBIT" and we say that our kids ORBIT the SON.
Each Sunday morning children are invited to immerse themselves in our Rotation Sunday School which utilizes a variety of techniques to deliver life's most important message. Children are involved in drama, cooking, crafts, storytelling, and a host of other hands on fomats each Sunday morning which help to teach them the Good News in creative and fun ways.

Also on Sundays children share in a special time we call Children's Chapel. Youth and children are invited to exit the 10:30 a.m. worship service during the sermon and join together in age-specific small groups for teaching and worship. Every Sunday during this chapel time the Sunday lectionary reading is presented and thoroughly discussed. We close with prayer and praise and then the Children's Chapel rejoins the parish for Holy Communion.
Every summer our Children's Ministry hosts a Vacation Bible School for our parishioners as well as the greater community. The Vacation Bible School offering is made available for all children in grades K-6. We also invite teens to assist during the week in a variety of roles. The Vacation Bible School will be offered this summer the week of June 15-19, 2009 in the Kid's Club Gym located at 176 South Hickory Avenue. Our theme this year is "The Underground Church" and children will have fun learning more about Paul's missionary work and the development of the Christian faith.
